A scientific conference entitled „Economic growth and sustainability: The individual in focus”  was held ont he 13 May 2019 at the University of Dunaújváros.

The aim of the conference was to deal with a dominant segment of the current economic changes which can facilitate the flexible adaptation of the individual to the changing world, and the development of economic competence.

The conference was supported by the Pallas Athéné Domus Educationis Foundation, and is closely related to the online courses  designed at the University of Dunaújváros (intelligent solutions in the local sphere, economic modelling, the world of business processes, digital technologies in business, virtual economy, project management techniques) – all of them aiming the extracullicular development of economics skills of our Business and Administration students.

The conference was organised around the following 4 topics:

• social dimensions of the development of economic competences
• intelligent solutions in the local sphere
• digital technologies in business
• economic modelling, the world of business processes.
